SecureNow FAQ - Client Use
The protection of your personal information is very important to us.
Open Bank is pleased to announce that effective August 3rd 2021, we enabled an additional login security feature to protect your personal information by adding another layer of identity verification.
Q. What is this new security feature called?
A. The new feature is called SecureNow.
Q. What systems will SecureNow be available for?
A. SecureNow will be available for both Open Online Banking and the Open Bank Mobile App (Green App).
Q. How does the new security feature work?
A. When you log in to Online Banking, you will now choose to receive a 6-digit one-time passcode (OTP), by text or by phone call. This code will take the place of answering your security questions.
Q. Will I always have to input the 6-digit OTP when I login to Online Banking?
A. No, you will only be prompted to input the OTP if the system detects any suspicious activities/changes to your devices such as logging in using a different device/location, using a device reported as stolen, etc.
Q. If the OTP is requested through text, where will the SMS message come from?
A. The message will come from 36397.
Q. If the OTP is requested through phone call, where will the call come from?
A. The phone call will come from (669)241-2767 from Sunnyvale, CA.
Q. Will the OTP expire?
A. Yes, the OTP will expire 15 minutes after the request.
Q. What if my phone numbers are outdated or need to be changed?
A. Please visit or contact your nearest branch office location for assistance.
Q. What if I cannot receive the OTP?
A. Please contact 213.593.4895 for further assistance.
Q. Is there any cost for this new feature?
A. No, we will not charge you any costs for this feature.
